ccording to E! Online, Barbara Houston claims the Grammy winning performer was responsible for paying $723,000 for her husband's New Jersey condo mortgage following his death in 2003. Upon making the payment, the remaining $277,000 was supposed to be given to her stepmother.
However, the lawsuit states Houston has yet to shell out the agreed upon amount and, instead, has kept the entire insurance payoff.
