Ne-Yo Responds to Rumors about Being Gay

Seems like Ne-Yo is gone off in a rant on his Blog, telling people that he is tired of all the rumors about him being gay. Copied and pasted from his site...

One rule of being a gentleman is to keep your cool and composure at all cost, but right about now I gotta loosen up this tie and take off this expensive suit jacket and talk to the people for a minute. The haters especially.

Pardon my french, but what the fuck is wrong with y’all!?! Are you so desperate for an R&B bad guy that you gotta find a way to create one in me??

Okay, the comment about light skinned babies…….an obvious joke, maybe not a good joke, but clearly a joke. Y’all REALLY took that serious!?!

I understand that a hater’s job is to hate, clearly. But it’s when people start feeding in to what a hater is saying that something must be addressed.

The whole gay thing. For goodness sake it’s been 4 years!!!! Y’all still on that huh?The whole “boys” song, and the song “go over there”. See this is what happens when people steal. These songs were clearly written for women. Had you been patient, you would have heard them the way they were supposed to be heard, with the voice of the intended artist on em’. But noooo, someone gets a hold of these demos and suddenly everybody forgets that I write songs for women. Riiight.

I tell People Magazine that Young Jeezy’s crib is right next to mine and that once I saw him in there from across the way. I then make a JOKE about him maybe not wanting to walk around naked in his crib with the shades up cause the buildings are THAT close to each other, and that AIN’T something I care to see. Suddenly, everybody thinks I said I saw Young Jeezy in his crib naked when, NEVER ONCE did I say anything like that.

I mean come on people. Is this really what you’re gonna spend time on??
Will you not be satisfied until I truly become this asshole you so desperately want me to look like??

Here’s my stand on the whole thing:

I’m NOT gay, I’m NOT prejudice to anyone, I DID NOT get stomped out by Jim Jones or anyone else, I’m NOT engaged, I’M NOT STUPID. And to anyone that INSISTS on thinking that any of these things are true……F**K YOU. To the haters….find some new material please!!! It’s 2009, our president is black!!! Time for change. To everyone else……I love you to death, thanx for all your support. WE PLATINUM ROUND HERE!!!!!

O.J. On Suicide Watch

According to sources O.J. Simpson is having a difficult time adjusting to prison life since he was transferred to a new facility in Nevada. The former athlete, who is facing up to 33 years for armed robbery and kidnappings initially requested, “cable TV, a cell phone, and various board games” be placed in his cell.

The Warden rejected all of his requests and, in turn, placed Simpson in a solitary wing after other inmates made threats on his life. A close friend of Simpson describe his living arrangements as, “lonely, very lonely…he’s a people person and this is the worst situation for him”.

In addition to losing 25 pounds after hardly eating during the first three weeks of incarceration, the solitary confinement has reportedly caused Simpson to speak of “ending it all…I can’t take this shit man”. Guards are currently monitoring him on 24hr cycles, and his attorney has requested Simpson be relocated to the prison’s psychiatric ward.

Simpson isn’t up for parole for at least 9 years.

Indie Spotlight: Starr Media Group Presents... Trillogy

Check out the new smash hit by Starr Media's Trillogy! The group is comprised of two rappers and one soulful singer who has a voice better than half the R&B artists out right now. The members of the group are Jay Will, Rita Tayler and Ox Pro. All members growing up in a ruff environment manages to turn their pain into glory with their newest project on the line. The album is comprised of tracks that I would consider and easy and entertaining listen mixed with R&B, Hip-Hop, Pop and a little bit of alternative. Join me in welcoming Star Media's own Trillogy to the Indie Spotlight from The Industry's Alternative.

R. Kelly's Wife Hit's The Jackpot by Divorce

It appears that R Kelly’s wife has now officially divorced him. And her pockets just got a whole lot better because of it. Here’s the official release from the ex Mrs. Kelly’s lawyers:

A Judgment for Dissolution of Marriage was entered today dissolving the marriage between singer, R. Kelly and his wife of 11 years, Andrea Kelly. The parties have reached an amicable resolution concerning all issues related to their marriage and will share joint custody of their three children.

Details on the settlement are pretty sketchy. But MediaTakeOut.com caught wind that Andrea received more than $50 Million in the settlement. And that’s SIGNIFICANTLY more than she was entitled to under the law.

I guess his wife didn't want to go half on any more babies!

Technology's next frontier: In-car computing

Big-ups to the homie Sphinx from the bricks for hitting me up with this story on cnn.com. It's amazing to see the evolution of technology.

"Cell phones and TVs converging with the Internet? That's so 2008. The next big tech trend may be the marriage of computer technology to your car or truck.

his month, Hyundai is launching a system that warns motorists when they drift out of the lane they're traveling in. Another manufacturer has developed pedestrian-detection software that works with heat-seeking cameras to alert drivers when someone is in their path.

In March, Ford will release a fully functional, dashboard computer -- complete with keyboard -- geared to contractors and other business folks who want to access the Web, review documents and log inventory while on the go. In the spring, AT&T will launch an in-car entertainment service with 22 satellite TV channels.

Industry executives hope the new technological bells and whistles will put some sizzle back into stagnant vehicle sales.

Saigon is back like Cook Coke Crack!

Saigon, who was mostly missing in action during 2008 made an update on his Myspace page this morning to let fans know that, despite numerous setbacks, he is still working hard.

"Im back better and stronger than ever," wrote Saigon in his blog post. "I greatly apologize for the lack of information Ive been giving all the people who's been keeping up with me... I promise to ya'll this will be my hardest working year ever.. I will be more active as far as the music I put out, interviews, acting, television shows etc.. Can you believe I only put out 3 songs in the whole year of 08? I pretty much took 08 off to get my personal life in order... Now Im back and better than ever.. Yes Im still with Just Blaze and Ft. Knocks is still going very very strong...."

The rapper took the time to congratulate his mentor, Just Blaze, on his number one spot with the song "Live Your Life" with T.I. and Rihanna, and then announced an upcoming mixtape entitled Warning Shots 2. "I dont know how many of you copped the first Warning Shots but this is the sequel and the music is much hotter...," he wrote. "All BRAND NEW music produced by Just Blaze, Scram Jones, Buckwild and Myself.. If you ever liked Saigon, Youre gonna love him now.. I promise..... Warning Shots 2 will deliver like never before.... Saigon is back."

iTunes Announces Variable Pricing, Drops DRM

As the largest online music provider, iTunes has caught flack for their continual use of DRM-protected music. Just a few days ago though, all that changed at the Macworld Expo where Apple announced their whole music library will become DRM-free through a new agreement with the four major music labels, according to Billboard.biz.

DRM (Digital Rights Management), which limited iTunes users from playing their purchased music on anything other than their iPod and other Apple devices, was previously enforced by Universal, Warner and Sony BMG, while EMI allowed DRM-free music through their company since May of 2007. The transition to DRM-free music has already begun with eight million of iTunes 10 million songs reformatted, while the last two million songs will change by the end of March.

Along with their new ability to provide a full catalog of DRM-free music, iTunes will also soon sell their single tracks at three different price rates. The expected price settings put hit singles at $1.29, current songs at 99 cents, and older songs at 69 cents each. The new three-tier pricing model will begin in April.

Jermaine Dupri Ousted From Position At Def Jam?

Jermaine Dupri is no longer president at Island Records Urban Music, according to reports.

The rapper/producer, who has head the position for nearly two years, oversaw all of Island Def Jam's urban music business, and served directly under Chairman Antonio "LA" Reid and President and COO of Island Def Jam Music Group Steve Bartellis.

Sources revealed to Allhiphop.com that a formal announcement could be made as early as today (Jan. 8). It is as of yet unclear what the source of the change is.

These aren't the first reports of Dupri's termination from the storied label. Rumors began circulating this past August that Island Def Jam was displeased with him - citing lackluster album sales for projects he helmed such as Janet Jackson's Discipline.
