I can't say I have ever been a big fan of Lil Scrappy's music at all, but I always though that he had an incredible amount of hustle. His fanbase is pretty strong as well. One thing about Lil Scrappy is that he stays doing a lot of shows down south so we know he isn't starving!
Big up to
ballerstatus.com for this one...
Scrappy, one of Lil Jon's first signings to his BME Recordings, has recently inked a deal with Luda's DTP Records where he'll release a new album, and bring his whole G's Up camp with him.
"We're just excited to sign him because he's been in the game for a long time and he never got the shot he needed to get," Jeff Dixon, co-CEO of DTP, said, reports MTV. "He has exciting music. ... He brings another dynamic to our label. We're adding another dimension."
According to MTV, Scrappy's next album will be out by September, and Ludacris will serve as a co-executive producer. Additionally, Scrappy could be featured on a probable DTP tour this summer. Until then, though, he'll be dropping mixtapes, appearing on albums from Luda and DTP labelmate Willy Northpole and shooting a film.
